Scott Adamson
I’m a photographer based in Almonte, Ontario, working in and around Ottawa and Eastern Ontario, with a focus on portraiture.
My past work has been a mix of editorial, family, and environmental portraiture, but I’ve been steadily narrowing my focus toward more intentional studio headshots and portraits.
My work is rooted in tradition and making images that hold up over time. I’m drawn to a more classic approach, especially in the studio, where the goal is to create something clear, distinct, and true to the person in front of the camera.
More recently, I’ve been developing a deeper focus on analog and historical photographic processes. That shift has started to shape how I approach all of my work, slowing things down and placing more value on craft and authenticity in the age of AI and algorithms.
